Prompt – A White Puzzle Piece

Blank and broken, pieces all a skew, she stands and stared at the vastness before her.  So much has changed yet nothing is different within the confines of her mind.  The noise continues, reminding her of the trials she faces.

Why can’t we take this blank canvas and create a new world, a new reality of happiness.  Why can’t we unjumble the mess to fix the errors of history and prepare the endeavors of the future?

Life isn’t a puzzle we can ever solve or a picture we can ever complete and maybe it’s time to accept the beauty that lies in this blank and broken world of misdirection.  Pieces are lost, backwards, rarely ever perfect.  The picture is fluid, ever changing, never constant.  One day you reach for the final pieces to find it missing.  Now you’re left with a gaping hole you can never fill so you rejumble the memories and try to forget the journey.  Maybe there’s beauty in the missing.  How about stopping to look at what isn’t, the details visible in the void.  Can we create our own perfection from the blank and broken pieces of our life?
